Hedges may stand still and quietly, but oh, the stories they have to tell! If they could whisper their secrets, they’d share tales of the people living behind them and maybe even teach us a little about ourselves.

See that tall, towering hedge over there? The one reaching for the sky? It’s like a big green wall, isn’t it? Some people think tall hedges are a way to say, "Stay out! This is my space." Hedges are smart, too. They can bend and grow around obstacles like fire hydrants and big old tree roots. They’re like the best kind of friend—one that changes and adapts, no matter what gets in their way.

So, the next time you pass by a hedge, take a moment to look at it. Thank it for standing tall (or small), for guarding homes, for growing and changing, and most of all, for listening to all the stories around it—without saying a word.
